世界最強壯的狗(圖)
牠有24塊腹肌，但牠很溫柔。加拿大的惠比特犬「溫」（Wendy），背、腹、頸、腿滿是一塊塊肌肉，渾身是勁，有如狗世界的阿諾舒華辛力加。不要誤會這是去gym健身的成果，「溫」其實是基因突變，令肌肉異常發達。最近牠參與美國一項研究，憑天生異稟，在該國變了大明星。惠比特犬是一種賽犬，速度可達每小時60公裡。現已四歲的狗女「溫」，在薩尼克（Saanich）過無拘無束的生活，最喜歡與同類和馬匹追來追去。牠重達27公斤，是一般惠比特犬的兩倍，小小的頭，配上超健碩的身軀，樣子怪怪，有人還以為牠是鬥牛或獵犬。


基因突變有雙倍肌肉
美國國家健康研究中心指出，惠比特犬如果有一個基因突變，可增加肌肉質量，令牠們跑得更快。如果有兩個基因變異，就會像「溫」一樣，有雙倍肌肉。同類情況在人、鼠、牛、羊身上都出現過。「溫」成為研究對象後，《紐約時報》、全國廣播公司（NBC）的清談節目都報道過牠，令牠成為熱門話題。外表兇猛的「溫」，其實很「嗲」。牠喜歡被人掃掃背脊、摸摸腹部，晚上會鑽進主人漢森的被窩一起睡。漢森說「溫」很熱情，常會撲到人身上，可能會嚇怕人，但大家「很快就發現牠很友善」。
